
Pastor Dallas Blacklock Sr
Lead Pastor
Pastor Dallas Blacklock Sr. recognized his calling to preach the Gospel at the young age of 15. Since then, he has become a dynamic, spirit-filled minister known for delivering biblical teachings that are both powerful and practical for everyday life. He currently serves as the Lead Pastor of First Mt. Carmel M.B.C., “The Church with Outstretched Arms,” located in the Historic 5th Ward of Houston, TX.
A native of Houston, TX, Pastor Dallas earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Religion with minors in Sociology and Business Administration from McPherson College in Kansas. He later obtained a Master’s in Educational Administration from Sam Houston State University.

Pastor Dallas previously served as the Associate Head Coach, Running Backs Coach, and Recruiting Coordinator at Texas Southern University. Before that, he was the Director of High School Relations at the University of Houston.
Earlier in his career, Pastor Dallas was a teacher and Head Football Coach at Sharpstown High School, where he played a key role in reducing the dropout rate, enhancing the leadership curriculum, and helping numerous student-athletes pursue college opportunities. His impactful work at Sharpstown earned him multiple Coach of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and even “Man of the Year” awards. He was also featured in the PBS Frontline special Dropout Nation for his dedication to student success.

Whether coaching young men on the football field or sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Pastor Dallas empowers others to apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their daily lives.
He is a devoted husband to his wonderful wife, Dr. Syreeta Y. Blacklock, and a loving father to their three amazing children—Dallas Jr., Jadyn, and Jiah.
