In 2021, God called Pastor Dallas Blacklock Sr. to lead First Mt. Carmel MBC, a beacon light in the heart of Houston’s Historic 5th Ward, Texas. Pastor Dallas succeeded his long-time pastor and mentor Rev. Alan K. Brown, who pastored diligently for 36 years. On May 3rd Pastor Dallas’ dream of pastoring became a reality. The work God is doing in the life of our church has surpassed all of our expectations! We believe our church will impact the world and ignite them to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. First Mt. Carmel is a house of prayer and refuge for all people.
